Prototypes

Overview
Our prototype was built in Figma as a high-fidelity, interactive model of the Théâtre Déchaînés ticketing experience. It covers the complete purchase flow: browsing events, viewing event details, selecting seats or tickets, checking out, and receiving a confirmation. Every screen was designed with accessibility as the default, kept clean and lightweight so it could realistically be built and maintained by the theatre's team.

Challenge
Our client responded positively to the work. Pierre Tremblay-Thériault noted that we understood their needs, listened to their requests, and stayed engaged throughout, including during harder conversations about scope. What worked well was our ability to respond to feedback quickly and translate accessibility principles into concrete design decisions. The weekly meetings helped build a working relationship where honest communication felt natural. The main challenge was the gap between a Figma prototype and a fully built website on Concrete CMS. Both we and our client understood that actual implementation would go beyond the course, but the focused choices we made together meant that what we delivered was thoughtful and genuinely useful.

Impact
Alongside the prototype, we delivered a fully documented design system including color tokens, type scales, and component guidelines that Théâtre Déchaînés can continue building on after the course. Interactive elements are fully keyboard-navigable, screen reader-compatible through proper labeling and semantic structure, and written in plain language. Our process documentation website also serves as a handoff reference, making our research, decisions, and reasoning easy to follow for whoever takes this project forward.
